Do I need an aftermarket roof rack?

Do I need a roof rack aftermarket for my RTT ( roof top tent) ?

 Absolutely ! Most vehicles stock roof racks are NOT equipt the handle the weight of an RTT! There is a major difference between (static) weight and (dynamic) weight capacity. The best way to explain this is to think of your car sitting still. You can most likely put any RTT your want on your factory roof rack to a degree. However, this weight while moving shifts, and twists and is very unstable not only while on the road with high winds, but going over bumps, hills and so on. Especially if you plan to do any off roading what so ever. You will need an after market roof rack! 

Most people just getting into overlanding and camping, we recommend thats were they start. Choose a very sturdy good looking rack that will complement your vehicle and most importantly (support) that weight! 

There are mainly racks out there and most can simply be bolted on with no drilling at all! Also keep in mind you get what you pay for! If it's cheap, it most likely will break or may have some issues down the road. And when you have a tent over 100lbs sitting on top, that's not a good thing!
